Aleš Matějů is an active professional football player, a pupil of FK Příbram, where he came from Sokol Rosovice, where he grew up. As a teenager he played in the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
In the summer of 2014, Příbram took him in the first team, from where he moved to Pilsen a year later, where he became known to the general public for the first time. Two years later, he headed to Brighton, a newcomer to the English Premier league at that time. For the 2018/19 season, he left to the second-league Italian Brescia. With Brescia, he managed to advance to the Serie A in his first season, in which he played together with his friends Nikolas Špalek and Jaromír Zmrhal. Aleš also regularly played for the young national teams, in 2020 he also had his premiere in the national team A, where with his performances on the field he participated in the promotion of the national team to the A group of the League of Nations.
